
Tahlia has over five years’ experience in criminal law, having worked across both prosecution and defence. This experience provides her valuable insight into how cases are prepared and presented from both perspectives of the criminal justice system.
She has developed particular experience in complex and sensitive areas of law including matters involving allegations of sexual violence. In addition, Tahlia also has experience in applications under the Dangerous Prisoners (Sexual Offenders) Act 2003 (Qld). Her practice is grounded in a belief in justice, fairness and that every person deserves a fair hearing, dignity, and strong advocacy.
She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Griffith University and is currently undertaking a Master of Criminology and Criminal Justice, furthering her expertise in the principles that underpin the criminal justice system.
She is often referred to as the “nice lady lawyer” by clients and colleagues yet in court she is recognised as a zealous advocate, driven by the fearless pursuit of justice for those who might otherwise go unheard.
